Personal Statement: Ready For A Change In High School

Decent Essays
No one says that you have to be ready for a change, just a new beginning. My mom always told me that. I don’t fear going to the high school at all. I want to be able to find my classes before the late bell, get all A’s and join some sports teams. I think that I can do it for four years in the high school.

I want to be able to get my classes on time before the late bell rings so that I am not tardy. People make fun of the kids that can’t find their homeroom on the first day of school, and I don’t want to be that person. High school is my last four years of school I don’t want to be known as the girl who couldn’t find her homeroom on the first day of school. I want to be someone in high school.

I am going to try to get great

Even though the year was 2012, I don’t think that the high school experience ever changes when it is your first day. Speaking from my experience, it was awful. I of course got lost multiple times, was late to all my classes, and even showed up to the wrong class. The first couple of weeks that I was experiencing wasn’t going how I had planned it to be, I was struggling in my classes and I didn’t have anyone to talk to at lunch or in between classes. That was until one day when I came across the novel, The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, in which I felt like I was no longer alone or at least the only one who felt this way.…

Why would a kid choose to go from a class of 24 to a brand new school with 1700 kids without knowing anyone? That sounds crazy to me, but my 14 year-old self thought that it would be just fine.…

My advice to high school senior or even juniors, sophomores, and freshmen, no matter how low or high they make on the ACT, they should apply for college. You don’t need to know your major or career goals right away so don’t let anyone tell you that you should have it figured out right about now. After a person graduate, he or she can plan their life out and set goals. It’s never too late to apply or attend any college. If I can do it and keep motivating myself to get where I want to be, I know other people can…
