Personal Statement: Prove It ! Test

Decent Essays
To whom this may concern,
My name is Michelle Clement. I took the "Prove It!" test on August 16,2016.While taking the test my computer continuously stopped, or froze and would not allow me to click anything. There were times when the freezing caused me to have to restart a question. Is there a possibility that this issue could affect my test?

As a Family Advocate, I work with families and children from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. It is important to focus on building relationships of mutual trust, confidence, and respect for diverse families. After completing the observations, the anti-bias curriculum is a must to reflect the culture and background of the families and children in the program. Many families I work with are low income. My goal is to create an environment where children and families from different backgrounds can feel comfortable and belonging.…

I aspire to function as a family nurse practitioner (FNP) at a family practice primary care clinic. Specifically, I will serve in a federally qualified health center (FQHC). According to Hamric and Taylor’s seven identified phases of development1, I will progress from orientation to frustration, implementation, and integration, as well as possibly frozen, reorganization, and complacent phases in my role development. During orientation, I may feel especially optimistic about my new role and potential impact in improving the health of my patients. Most of my attention in this stage will be dedicated to mastering my skills in history taking, conducting astute physical examinations, making accurate diagnoses, and formulating guideline-based treatment plans.…

Opportunity to Success I am not born to a rich family that has everything I want and need and clearly I am not born with any amazing skills either. I am just a normal person who is lucky enough to receive the wonderful opportunity of a formal education in America. Despite my family’s lack of English language skills and the limitations of my family’s resources, I have been able to navigate myself through the American educational system. With hard work, many hours of studying and dedication to school, I have found success in high school in just four years of speaking English. However, my hard work is not over yet.…

I could fill this statement with fluffy, extravagant language and discuss how challenging life is and have some overall theme like what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. But, that hasn’t been my life. A personal statement should be true to your character and I would be lying if I wrote about how depressed I was about life and discouraged by the difficulties I faced. That’s just not my style.…

True and significant life is found in Jesus Christ and because of my firm conviction of this it has been my primary objective to point people to Jesus. Being persuaded that Christ wants Christians and especially those who take leadership roles to minister to the needs of others, I have ordered my life to conform to that conviction. Ultimately, Jesus desires that each Christian serves him by serving others; this is accomplished in a variety of ways – feeding those who are hungry, teaching everyone the life saving Gospel, and by leading in a way that reflects the glory of Christ. It has been my immense pleasure to have had the opportunity to preach God’s Word to thousands of people over the past fifteen years. It is my sincere passion to see people embrace Christ Jesus as their Lord and savior and to be transformed by the renewing of their minds through the Word of God.…
