I want to thank you for the offer at Project Brilliance. The place is great and the little time I spent there brought me great memories as when I was an adaptive physical educator. Unfortunatlly, I would have to decline your offer; the salary compensation does not adjust to my family needs. I wish you the best in this great educational setting. It will definetelly make a difference In a child's life and its family.

I am interesting in applying to PLFSOM because I have a desire to ultimately become a primary care physician that works in underserved communities. Coming from a rural area, I know what a lack of providers in a region can do to a community. I have spent a lot of time in border towns since my dads family is originally from Mexico and I have been able to see first hand that even the biggest of border towns still has a very big proportion of their population that is underserved. Right now, I already use my Spanish to help the Spanish speaking patients that we see at our clinic but my Spanish medical terminology is not as strong as I would like. Being able to get my medical education from a school so close to the border would help me become the…

Senior Brag Sheet Career Choice: I plan to double major in mechanical engineering and finance, but still face some uncertainty in this plan. My interests developed mainly from the push of my parents. Ever since I was a child, the overarching career I was pushed towards was engineer or doctor, so I pushed myself to learn topics that would better support these ideas. Classes such as Scitech gave me an understanding of what engineers do which provided me with a great deal of interest. Other clubs such as Science Olympiad and TEAMS have also given me experiences that have fostered this interest in engineering with competitions and processes of creating something.…

My Personal Goal Statement Every day I wake up, I ask myself how I can make a difference. This question has helped shape my personal values and principles and directed my path into the nursing field. Growing up in West Africa and witnessing firsthand the sufferings and impoverishment of the people around me, I developed a sense of compassion and willingness to make a difference and help alleviate their sufferings and put a smile on their faces. Healthcare delivery and poverty are two major underlying factors in the challenges faced in Africa, thus, when I got an opportunity to come into the United States, it was my golden ticket to finally give back to the community and make a difference. This led me into the nursing field; I started out as a Certified Nurse Assistant.…

I believe in America. Here, Freedom rings, opinions run rapid and we are brave. That being said, in an ideal world there would most definitely be room for improvement. This country is not what our founding fathers envisioned two hundred twenty eight years ago. My vision for America would be complete equality, complete acceptance, and for everyone to be grateful for what they have, instead of worrying about what they do not.…

I have been Graphic Designing for about two months as of now, and I believe that I am on my way to becoming a good graphic designer. My journey as a graphic designer started when I wanted to make an aesthetically pleasing edit of a snow covered tree that I had stumbled upon on Pixabay. I put a Lorde song quote (sorry I love her work) in the corner and fixed up a few parts of the original picture. Though I do live on the virtue of originality, I understand that the original picture was not mine, yet I needed to start somewhere on the ladder of Graphic Design experience. I have recently been making posters and banners to prepare for this application process.…

For my final portfolio I decided to use a research paper I did for project one in the beginning of the semester. To begin with I wrote this paper without taking a careful look at what I was writing. I mostly let my thoughts flow and let my fingers do the typing. However once, we did the peer review in class I had noticed that my partner had a good amount of corrections written down on my paper for me to look at. After I got my paper back I looked at the revisions made and saw I had some sentences that would go off topic from what I was talking about, I repeated myself, and had a lot of grammatical errors.…

Final Portfolio Introduction To be a good leader, one needs to be aware of themselves, have interpersonal skills like listening and communicating, and be aware of different leadership styles. All of these are intertwined, and lacking skill in one section does affect the other areas. I learned from this class that I want to be an authentic educational leader and the concepts that I have picked up from this class are related to this. In 2010, I was a promising young professional leading public relations and marketing campaigns for clean technology companies. My career was thriving: I worked alongside the brightest minds in Silicon Valley, at a leading venture capital firm. The firm had recently doubled down investments in the clean technology sector and the solar, electric vehicle, biofuel and lighting technologies we invested in were poised to disrupt incumbent industries. My colleagues and I believed that these technologies would positively impact the world we live in by preserving natural resources and minimizing our environmental impact. The experience was incredible and provided me the opportunity to make a great living while working in a sector greater than myself, in something that I believed would change the world.…

As I reflect on my personal life I value life itself to the point I live each day not knowing what to expect the next day. Positivity is a major factor in all that I do to the point of trying to view all things in a positive way and leaving the negativity out the door. As a mother, partner, educator, and entrepreneur I strive to be mindful, spiritual, and conscious of all my actions. I value these things because this is what makes up my life and what I live for each day. My life is a fourth generation person and I relate because I “want to live, love, learn, and leave it like a seed with balance and joy" (Covey, 73) the quality of my life is more important than planning it out.…
