The three main items that we must focus on are capacity, faculty qualifications, and student learning outcomes assessment (cite textbook). A committee will be formed to address each of these items and a hard copy will be presented to the NCAA prior to the beginning of each semester. If UNC Chapel Hill follows the guidelines for one year, the students will be off probation. However, the faculty and staff will be on probation for at least five years pending on if they abide by the guidelines given in this report. A. Student advisors will be held accountable in ensuring students, whether they are student-athletes or not, are in the correct classes for their major. All students should be on a specific plan to graduate in a maximum of five years with the Bachelor’s degree. The advisors will send this information to the committee and me once they meet with their respective students. Those students who are beginning to fall off track will discuss these issues with their advisors and appropriate actions will take place, whether it be to take more hours or to set up tutoring to take place.
Once UNC Chapel Hill shows progress during the implementation phase of this plan, the students will be off probation. However, staff and faculty will remain on probation for another four years. The plan above should continue to be followed with some edits for improvement along the way. Those that do not abide by the NCAA bylaws or the plan above will suffer consequences and possible
