Physical Health (answer below in a minimum of 50 words)
My physical health went up by the most points out of all the categories. This was my main focus so I am glad I saw such an improvement that I did. While I did not eat right every day I have made a strong effort to eating right. I have not been eating meat on Friday and trying to eat more salads. Eating a salad was an easy way to introduce healthier options into my diet and the salads are good too!!

Intellectual Health (answer below in a minimum of 50 words)
My intellectual health, according to the survey, did not change. I feel as though because it is already so high (38) it is tough to raise the number. I feel as though my time management skills have been great in the past and I have

I feel as though this increase in the category does not accurately reflect the improvements I have made to my emotional health. I have made a strong effort to express my emotions in a very positive and nondestructive way. I especially started to do this more around my roommate. Before I was very quiet about things that bothered me however lately I have been expressing my emotion (in a positive and friendly way). This is definitely one of the factors in the increase in 2 of the category.
I feel like I have handled all of life’s challenges very well and recovered from any setbacks I have been faced with.

Social Health (answer below in a minimum of 50 words)
My social health has not changed and remains at 38. I feel as though this is neither a good nor bad thing. My friendships with friends is strong. I make an effort every day to not only talk to my best friends but to react out to people I haven’t talked to in a while. I was hoping this number would increase due to the fact that I have been staying in contact with family and teachers more this semester. I call home about once a week and also text my family more often. In addition, I have been emailing and going to office hours more in my classes in an effort to improve my relationships with my teachers. While there was no improvement and the number in this category stayed at 38 I am happy with the progress and work that I have

This number significantly increased going from 29 to 33. I would have to attribute this change to my geology class. It has showed me the impact humans have on the world around us. By taking carbon footprint tests and learning through the class I have made a conscious effort to keep the world around me enjoyable and safe. I have made an effort to take the bus more instead of taking my car. One other thing that I have done was trying to use less water when brushing teeth, taking a shower, ext. Before coming into this semester I most definitely had a lot of waste. I am not surprised by the significant increase in the category due to all these changes to my daily

In my relationships with others the incorporation of some of these results will help me talk to people more in my community, volunteer at some local places in my community, and be outgoing and very vocal about the things I am passionate about. I am not a very talkative and outspoken person so that is something I could improve on and get on there and explore new things. These are all examples from my own life that I need to improve and work on to bring myself of my shelf and comfort zone. Overall, this wellness assessment has been a very eye- opening experience for me that I will forever remember and come back to in my life. Some of the scores surprised me and some of them didn’t shock me at all like my emotional average and my financial average.…

The Multidimensional Coping Inventory personality test looks for what kind of coping strategies are people more inclined to use. It looks at problem-focused coping, emotion-focused, and avoidance coping strategies. On the problem-focused coping it measures the inclination for someone to actively cope, plan, suppress completing activities, restraint, and the use of instrumental social support. My scores for these were all high compared to this mean. This indicates that when I have a problem I am less likely to avoid the issue and more likely to want to immediately fix the problem.…

    Disease Mongering Essay

Moynihan, Heath and Henry argue that the pharmaceutical industry capitalises on the want of consumers to eliminate undesirable conditions. They claim that pharmaceutical companies partake in “disease mongering”: that is, they fabricate new diseases by “widening the boundaries of treatable illness”. Critics such as Healy and Dossey agree with this claim. However, I will argue that, although not unfounded, the claim that pharmaceutical companies are guilty of disease mongering is not justified. I will argue that the definition of disease presented by Moynihan, Heath and Henry does not conform to the accepted definition of disease.…

In the What the Health documentary by Kip Andersen and Keegan Kuhn, their sole purpose was to inform the viewers about the advantages of eating a plant-based diet and provide evidence to support their reasoning. One of the major problems in the film was that a few of the facts mentioned were incorrect. Which is an issue of credibility and more importantly, it may mislead others. Therefore, the main problem is the ethical appeals because of the faulty evidence used in the film. As a result, that deceives the viewers in order to prove the director's point: eating a plant-based diet is more beneficial for your health.…

Physical and psychological health is important to the success of musicians in numerous ways. I will be outlining the most important health issues in this essay, ways in which these issues can be prevented, and the importance of prevention of these health issues. Physical health is important to musicians as the act of performing a piece of music is a physical act. Without the correct physical action the performance can be negatively affected. Different musicians may depend on different parts of the body during performances, for example a singer, as a whole, would not have to use their hands during a performance, and could as such still perform with, for example a broken finger.…
