Research Experience
Prior to graduate school, I developed the resource guide for homeless youth through serving the youth on the streets of Portland, Oregon. The Public Health Division adopted the resource guide for one year.
After graduation, I moved across the country and continued my research into the sex industry for the current state I was residing. My research led to the development of my licensed 501(c)3 non-profit reaching those in the sex industry, including human trafficking victims. I assisted in the establishment of five more non-profits designed to reach those in the sex industry and worked to rescue four victims from human trafficking. I was selected to be a member of the Governors Task Force against Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC), in Atlanta Georgia.
I researched the laws surrounding victims of human trafficking, and worked with the DA’s office in Macon Georgia, lobbying to change the wording in a poorly written law for prosecution of men purchasing sex with minors.
I then assisted with the development of a Christ centered Community Support Center for anyone struggling with addiction, prostitution and those living in poverty in Brunswick Georgia.
