1. Describe your child.
My child will be a girl entering 7th/8th grade. This letter will be in supplement to what she has already learned about sex and intimacy from previous conversations between the two of us, what she has learned in school, and conversations with her, her father and I. Hopefully this letter will open a dialogue she will feel comfortable continuing as she starts having “grow up” dating relationships.

2. Opening of letter to child describing your relationship and your aspirations for them.
Hey pretty girl. I just want to start off by saying I love you, and remind you there is nothing that you can do to make me love you less. You have such a bright future ahead of you, you’re smart, beautiful, funny, adventurous, and I am so proud of you. You make such wise choices for a person your age and I am so excited to have had the privilege of seeing you blossom into such a wonderful young woman of God. I am eager to see what God has in store for you, and to watch as you search after God’s heart. I think you are absolutely fabulous sweet one, and your father and I are your biggest fans!

3. Describing the things that you want them to do sexually and romantically. Describe in detail the things you want them to avoid sexually and romantically?
