Why Do Never Judge You Essay

Improved Essays
Objectives
No one should hate themselves, it is bad enough that other people will constantly judge you, you have to make sure you love yourself regardless of what people think. Otherwise, you might jump the gun and start harming yourself. My objectives are for people to realize:
• That it is okay not to be super skinny
• It is okay to wear something larger than a size two; your pant size does not define who you are as a person
• Your body needs food
• Anorexia, Bulimia, and Bingeing are life threatening and is something to be taken extremely serious
• Family and friends are there for you to talk to
• More people than you realize struggle with the exact same insecurities
• You are pretty
I want people to realize that they are not alone in this.

When you go into a job interview they judge you based on your looks. When you make friends they judge you based on your looks. When you find a spouse they judge you based on your looks. I have shown horses for 15 years and all I do is get judged. I personally pay someone to stand and watch me work my horse and judge me if my and my horse look good doing the task. It is the same thing with pageantry; people walk about on stage to get a title on who is the prettiest. It is so important to the world to have judgment on other people, which is fine, but when used to make someone better not break someone down. I have shown horses nationally my whole life competing in world level competitions since I was 8. I know how it feels to be verbally abused saying you are not good enough, but I took it and made myself the best competitor that I could be; however, not all people are wired like that. I know people that if my trainer would have talked to them the way he talked to be they would never walk out of the house again, but people don’t care if they hurt peoples feelings. I got lucky and am strong enough and competitive for it to make me better. People are getting judged and it is wrecking their world and confidence, which is leading to the disorders, as well as self-harm. People will rarely remember a compliment, but will never forget a …show more content…
Technology is so prevalent in times today that it would be best to use it to our advantage. Having something that is with you everyday at all times that can be a motivation towards a healthy lifestyle is something that would be hard to be. I wear a FitBit 24/7 and it is a constant remind to be active and work towards a healthy lifestyle. Kate Abrosimova, Director of content for yalantis stated, “The goal of nutrition apps is to help users achieve their personal goals, whether that be healthy eating, losing weight, or even gaining weight. Plotting calories on a graph and sending messages when a user achieves a goal is still not enough. A fitness app should offer calls to action, encouraging users to get off the couch and burn some calories when they have missed their goal.” Healthy applications are designed to make people to want to live and act out a healthier life

Also, a Bluetooth connection with the user’s phone allows notifications to be displayed when someone is calling or texting the user or when an app sends a notification like in its competitors. The Bluetooth connection also allows the user to pause, play skip forward, skip backward, and decrease or increase the volume of any music playing on the user’s phone like in its competitors. Bluetooth connection with the Fitbit app, downloadable to a phone for free, can be used to challenge friends and family for the most steps in a certain time period or other goals, but challenge statistics can only be viewed from a phone. Beauty matters. Well, at least for some. From the clothes you choose to wear (and the ones you don’t) to the items you own, everything surrounding you changes how people perceive you, even things completely out of someone’s control. Pressures to adhere to societal norms can cause long-term harm for certain people, but others can take this concept in stride. Due to different upbringings, along with different environmental influences, it allows for a range of perspectives.…

If you are not in a cool group of people or even play sports, you are immediately pinned as an outsider. Just because they do not fit in with the interests of that group, they get misjudged. The sad thing is that nowadays people judge others based by their looks without getting to know the person. The unfortunate thing is that they may turn out to be a really nice person. People get judged by a certain group or clique whether or not they have cool clothes, have the newest piece of technology, or even by the color of their skin.…

Self acceptance is the greatest gift we can give ourselves. We as people crave the approval of others, without realizing that we only need our own approval. We let people views on us shape what we think of ourselves. Each of us lives in a universe that revolves around yourself. When we are if anything, just a blip on the radar.…

Food is the human body’s number one source of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that help provide energy in order to function. When the body has a lack of food, it attempts to compensate by eating away at muscle and tissue. For this reason alone, eating disorders prove to be some of the most dangerous illnesses a person can have. Not only will an eating disorder leave a person lacking the nutrients they need to survive, but it can also cause harm to one’s heart, esophagus, and stomach (Dangers of Eating Disorders). Bulimia Nervosa is one of the most serious, potentially life threatening eating disorders (Bulimia Nervosa).…

The Power of Hatred One of the best pieces of advice I have ever been given, and that I give to people, I learned from my grandfather. And that is “...you better start loving yourself kid, because life will be pretty damn miserable if you don 't.” I have surprisingly told a lot of people this, and they seem to reject it at first, but understand it as they think about it. It is a simple concept, if an individual thinks of themselves as someone who is ugly, stupid, undesirable, weak, all of these constant negative thoughts will start to change the way they act and think and they will indefinitely become that person.…

In a country where cardiovascular disease consistently dominates as the top cause of death, consumers frequently look to wearable fitness trackers such as the Fitbit to help manage their wellness. Fitbit, one of the leading companies in the fast-growing healthy lifestyle market, sold 21.3 million devices in 2015 alone and has a market capitalization of about $3 billion. Users believe these devices to help them lose weight and maintain their fitness, but recent studies have proven that Fitbit may not be as accurate or helpful as their company wants consumers to think. Though Fitbit claims that they are “dedicated to developing the most accurate activity trackers on the market”, research from multiple universities and various news sources begs to differ. Fitbit devices that track heart rate use the company’s patented PurePulse technology.…

No one is ‘perfect’. Perfection is a word we misuse to describe those who we think are above us in terms of power, beauty and much more. We often criticize those around us and ourselves due to our infinite imperfections while we should be focusing on other aspects of life. In Nathaniel Hawthorne’s short story “The Birthmark”, the primary focus is on human perfection as the protagonist tries to restructure the face of his wife, but it ultimately leads to her demise. This story is a mirror of life since it depicts that humans are flawed beings by our appearance or the way we are obsessed with finding flaws in others, and we should embrace others and our flaws.…
