I was showing signs of mental disability, however they couldn 't figure out what it was at the time. Weather I was mentally challenge, or have some form of autism, all they knew is that I was very solitary, avoided eye contact, and I couldn 't articulate complete sentences. But, I was very artistic. Although, I couldn 't express myself through words, I was able to express myself through art. Being a very inquisitive child with a penchant for animals, I explored the outdoors my sketch pad, and drew whatever living creature that caught my attention. Soon after my mother enrolled me in Art School to hone my skills and expand my creativity even further. I study at the Art Museum of Ponce, there I was learning to use another medium of arts such as charcoal, scratchboard art, and painting. Although, I am familiar with painting, as I 've played with water color paints set many times. But this was done using acrylic and oil paints. I realize they were different from the usual water color paints I 've often played with during my younger years. My teachers were very informative, they taught me many things about art and the importance of exploring diversity in other areas in the art medium, such as painting, sculpting, scratchboard, and drawing with charcoal.
