Planning a wedding is not an easy task like everyone thinks it is. I have been immersed in a melting pot with many different culturally and economically diverse populations. These unique experiences have broadened my horizons and allowed me to gain valuable communication skills and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. I searched out opportunities to give back and help the people in my community both in volunteering in hospitals, educating high school students, and interning in private practices. I even traveled with the organization Medlife, setting up a medical clinic to provide basic medical care and education to people in the poor and underserved communities surrounding Lima, Peru.…

There are a couple of obstacles that have played a major role in me becoming who I am today. I've had naysayers trying to negatively influence my thoughts, and crush my dreams by saying that said I will never amount to anything, or that I should give up on my dreams and get realistic with my goals. A couple years ago I was a completely different person. I was out of shape physically, my academic performance was very poor, and I had a terrible attitude. Furthermore, another element apart of my cultural identity is how I love to do art; a favorite passion of mine. Resembling every other artist, I use art to show emotions. Explaining things to people, especially emotions, is not something I do. Have you ever heard the saying “a picture is worth a thousand words”, if so, who needs explaining, just draw it out. When I was little drawing or painting was definitely not something I loved, instead of sat down to draw I would have ran outside and played something more physically active.
