Going through my own orientation session upon selecting Quinnipiac helped me redefine myself to fulfill my personal goals without the judgement of others. I learned that I can be anyone I set myself out to be and it does not matter what other people think because I am unbranded. However, it wasn’t until later into the fall semester when my want to become an Orientation Leader was enriched. Dealing with being uncomfortable in this new environment and worries about my family at home left me flustered and confused.…

When I went to my orientation last year, I did not want to be there. I was not excited for college, and I was upset that I had to attend orientation for two days. I did not know anyone in my orientation group, and I spent most of the time alone and uncomfortable. By the end of the first day, I had decided that I did not want to come to Wichita State and that I had made a bad decision. My transition mentors were great people, but they did not notice that I was miserable.…
Education is very important in society and it is a crucial part to getting a job. Coming to Towson University, I knew I had to balance both my social and academic life. As a Community Center Assistant, I will ensure that when students, families, and friends walk into the residence hall they will understand that education is valuable. I will have my assignments neatly arranged on the table so that when I sign people in, they will see that one can be a Community Center Assistant while also excelling in their academics and helping the community. I will be more willing to help and give advice to residents who have questions regarding courses for their specific majors.…

Mark Freiburger, a friend of mine gave me your contact information, mentioning you would be a good person to reach out to. After two and a half years, I transitioned to working grip and electric and have been working in that department for the past three and a half years, in all positions from gaffer to swing and everything in between. My life is rather very complicated. Of course, I know that I’m not the only one that lives like this, and that other people may have it much worse than I do. Whether its struggle with bills or all together as a family, I still try to do the very best I can. Although we have troubles, I don’t express my emotions of that matter, but rather be who I am, which is being happy and making every day possible. I’ve done community services with my church like going to nursing homes and feeding the people at the hospitality center.…

On October 7th, I attended a personal mission statement session which was provided by the University of Texas at San Antonio Career Center. The core values I choose where, acceptance, faith, loyalty, creativity, courage, serenity, love and intelligence. We then answered a couple of questions, that would lead to the creation of my motto.…
I would like to extend my sincerest thanks for taking your time to consider my candidacy for the Educational Psychology/School Psychology program at the University of Wisconsin. I have always been drawn to behavioral psychology, the phenomenon of learning, and educational processes. After discovering that I had a special talent for working with children and at-risk youth, I eagerly began my academic pursuit in elementary education. With ever-increasing learning demands, and limited time and resources, I quickly learned that inevitably some children fail to perform adequately among their peers. This reality came quite clear to me through my experience working and substitute teaching in a public elementary school.…
