After graduating from UC Davis in 2007 I moved to China. There I worked in the furniture and apparel manufacturing sector while based in Shanghai and Beijing. In 2013 I returned to California to complete science prerequisites for medical school at UCSB. During this period I supported myself working as a medical assistant in a primary care practice. In January 2016 I’ll move to Quetzaltenango, Guatemala for five months of Spanish training.
