In addition, I want to interview offenders. The best way to understand a person and their reason for actions is to generally get to know them at a deeper level. Lastly, I will want to write pre-sentence reports. When writing my pre-sentence report I will be experienced in analyzing an individual based on their cognition and behavior because of my preparation in psychology. As a result, I will have an understanding of different factors that might have contributed such as mental illnesses or previous experiences. As a probation officer, I want to work in prisons. Prisons do not build up terror within me; on the other hand, they reassure me that the people inside those prisons are only there, because they need someone to show them the right path.
