Personal Statment People see me as this quiet, keep to herself person, but really that’s just how I am in class (sometimes). I’m really this loud, creative, curious, focused, determined, and friendly person from a small city. People think I’m quiet in class because, I really try hard to focus on my education as much as possible. Even though my grades don’t always show it. My education is very important to me, I see it as the key to my future. Without education my options are closed off. I can’t live my life to my full potential without the education I have been so fortunate to have. In my family only my mother and my Niña have gone to college, the colleges they chose to go to didn’t really help them with their jobs or life today they see it as useless and non helpful. I am one of the only oldest grandchildren on my mother’s side to actually be interested in going to a two to four year college. I’m very determined to get into the best college I can get into. I get my determination from my parents. My father is a very determined and stubborn man. Even when he’s wrong, he determines to prove that he is right. My mother is a bit different she knows her facts and will fight with you till you understand her point and side of the argument. They have worked …show more content…
I prefer not to get up in the front of my classes to speak, but I do. I work past my shyness and fear of making a fool of myself. I have gotten up in front of crowded classrooms just to give a presentation. This has made me less shy in a way, because now I am able to make new friends, especially with people I’ve never really seen nor have I talked to. I can say in about every one of my classes I have at least one person I can talk to. If it isn’t enough for me just to get up in front of class and present something with confidence, I’m also loud. I know how to speak up when needed. I find this very helpful in the future, especially in

True and significant life is found in Jesus Christ and because of my firm conviction of this it has been my primary objective to point people to Jesus. Being persuaded that Christ wants Christians and especially those who take leadership roles to minister to the needs of others, I have ordered my life to conform to that conviction. Ultimately, Jesus desires that each Christian serves him by serving others; this is accomplished in a variety of ways – feeding those who are hungry, teaching everyone the life saving Gospel, and by leading in a way that reflects the glory of Christ. It has been my immense pleasure to have had the opportunity to preach God’s Word to thousands of people over the past fifteen years. It is my sincere passion to see people embrace Christ Jesus as their Lord and savior and to be transformed by the renewing of their minds through the Word of God.…

What is the surface area of the cube of the soaked sponge?” A surge flowed through my body as I slammed on the buzzer. Creeping up to the microphone, I answered “96”. My turbulent stomach eased as the announcer responded, “That is correct!”…

Personal Education Statement My parents have always pushed for the betterment of my education, and as a result, I have been able to pursue and continue my intellectual development. One of my major influences was actually my second grade teacher, Mrs. Harnois, who saw great potential in my small seven-year-old self and encouraged me to read. She pushed me to the fifth grade reading level and introduced me to the Harry Potter series with which I promptly fell in love. The continuation of my love for reading as I grew older allowed for the introduction of more advanced ideas presented in a more palatable format for my younger self.…

Personal Statement As a homeschool graduate, my early education is inseparable from any other part of my childhood: all of life was a classroom. There were, of course, specific hours set aside for formal instruction, but academic concepts were woven into almost every experience, from grocery shopping to making craft projects. My grade school education, therefore, played a large role in shaping who I am as a person. I’ve always been both curious and creative, but under my mother’s tutelage, these aspects of my character took off.…

When I was in the sixth grade, I disgraced my family. This fact was reinforced by mother’s reaction because she interrupted my normally scheduled summer ritual. Every summer break I would go to my cousin Tobi’s house on Burke Avenue with a few of my older cousins, but could only go after my mother approved of my final report card. Usually, she would make me call her and inform her of my results, but this time she drove up to my junior-high school, a joint elementary and junior high school, I had attended since kindergarten. She asked for my report card of which I, of course, was reluctant to show her because it came with a letter stating that the school strongly suggest I go to summer school.…

I opted out of a lot of opportunities because of how shy I was and that was very hard to deal with now that I’m older and I now wish I could go back and attack those opportunities I missed out on. Present day I am still shy but not as bad as it was in middle school and before that, if anything I loved growing up shy even if I didn’t get to experience some things because I wouldn’t be who I am if I hadn’t grown up being so shy. It is a personality trait that I will cherish because even though it took some things away from me it gave me a lot more…
