Throughout my life, there have been several people who have shaped me into who I am today and what I live my life for. In my early years, during elementary school, I had a teacher who was very special to me, her name was Jeannie Kapple. She was my teacher for first through fifth grade. In such a small class, the teacher can really get to know each and every one of their students, and the school was already like a family. Her influence gave me an early appreciation for learning. I enjoyed school each day, and that has carried through to today. The care she showed for me and all my classmates jumpstarted my education and gave us all an advantage over most public school students. The closeness of our relationship also

I am very grateful for those who have influenced me over my high school years whether it be my teachers, advisors, parents, or friends. Although all have had a great impact on my life at some point, I have to say the person who had the biggest significance on my life was easily my 8th grade teacher, National Honor Society Advisor, and mentor: Mrs. Mindi Phelps. Having first met her as my 8th grade English teacher, I did not know how much this woman would mean to me now, as a senior in high school. She believed in me and pushed me out of my comfort zone, was there for all my successes, as well as my failures, and still is to this day even though she moved to Florida at the end of my junior year. I first met Mrs. Phelps at the beginning of my 8th grade year as my English teacher.…

believe children should have the opportunity to discover the world around them and to be allowed to be curious and pursue their curiosity on whatever subject that gain their interest. As teachers, it's our job to feed that curiosity that children have and make learning an opportunity to discover, learn, and to enjoy. I believe learning is sometimes challenging, but it can be fun as well. Children have the ability to take in charge of their decisions and when they choose something they want to engage in they will likely show more interested and excellent for it. This will let the children open their imagination, learn critical thinking, make a hypothesis, and discover how the world works in a secure environment.…

Being a Childhood Educator, in the Headstart program, I am convinced that our young children need to be exposed to positive role models to become successful role maker in life. However, the role models could be a family member, a teacher, a friend or whoever has contact with the child during the growth and development stages. In my opinion, I believe what children learn could be an advantage or disadvantage to their future in our society. As Early Childhood Educators, we should make sure that the right standards are in place for children, such as providing them with an environment that is conductive to cultural diversity. First, we should foster children and families cultural such as teaching them their differences and similarities with respect.…

My desire to become a primary teacher in early childhood studies started at a young age but it has only been the last two years that I have been more determined that teaching is a career for me. Working with children gives me an overwhelming joy. In addition to the National curriculum children can learn valuable life lessons from primary education which helps them to grow mentally and emotionally into lovely mature adults. Being a part of this is what drives me forward to gain my teaching qualification and to be a good role model. I have gained experience from a voluntary placement in a nursery and I’m currently doing a voluntary placement in a local primary school, which I really enjoy.…

My fieldwork focused on early childhood education, specifically kindergarten and second grade. Being able to observe those two grade levels helped me to solidify my desire to be a teacher. At the end of my observations, I was able to determine where I felt most comfortable; where I found my niche. I came to the conclusion that I preferred to focus my attention to kindergarten rather than any other grade level in early childhood education. Even though they were two different grade levels, the techniques used in the classroom were either the same or similar.…

The concept of early childhood education is one of the most critical topics in the sphere of human social, intellectual, and rational development that incorporates a number of educational experiences and activities required for the intellectual and social growth of preschool children earlier to their high school. In this regard, different theorists and educationalist have debated over the idea of early childhood education and its different aspects. However, early childhood education, for me, is the time in which children learn to adopt different habits, behaviors, and those practices that are considered useful and innovative for them with respect to their overall growth of the personality. In other words, according to my educational philosophy,…
