North canyon AVID will help me reach my goals that I have set myself by helping me be a better me. In many ways, not just educationally, but as a person. I’m not the best team worker, I sometimes really am bad at working with others and I wasn’t so good at turning in my work on time, but AVID right now is helping me with that, which helps me. AVID also encouraged me to try and do my very best. Though there were some problems along the way, which is normal, but I’m trying my best to remain strong.
One of the things I want to be most in life is a therapist. Ever since I got to talk to one, I’ve been so encouraged to become one. I have high hopes in this one career for 2 years now and I’m willing to study hard

I knew Red Lobster was a bad option. I wanted to go to Outback Steakhouse, but mom had her way, even on MY high school graduation. I was stuck, sitting in the booth, waitress staring at me for 15, 16, 17 seconds now. Sitting in my cap and gown, she asked again – “where are you going to college?” I’d prefer the Bloomin’ Onion to this any day of the week.…

I have wanted to become an Occupational Therapy Assistant since I was in 7th grade. The school I went to housed all of the special needs children for the county. I grew up with these children in my classes and always wanted them to know that just because they have the label special needs does not mean that they are different from anybody else. I watched an OTA come to school everyday and work with these children to help them write better and kick a ball so they could go to P.E. with us. I thought to myself what an amazing job opportunity this would be to let people know that they can do anything they set their mind to.…
