Personal Statement: My Love For Attending College

Decent Essays
I want to attend college because I have such a deep love for learning, even though, sometimes school makes me stressed out. Back when I lived in Sierra Leone, I would sneak into schools so I could learn and know how it felt to be part of a learning environment. Ever since that experience, my passion for learning grew even more. Coming to this country, I saw many children complaining about how much they hated school and how they found their subjects to be boring and I was completely dumbfounded! They didn't see how lucky they are that they get the freedom and opportunity and government that cares about their education. My country could honestly careless about its growing population.

If I could go back to the past and talk to myself in September 2013, I would tell my younger self to be prepared for the next four years. I would advise myself to plan out my work and actually do assignments ahead of time instead of putting them off until nine o'clock the night before they were due. I would recommend actually trying to do the workouts for field hockey before preseason. That way it wouldn't be so bad in the future.…
