During that time I pondered how a persons situation or life could be uplifted in a moments notice. I used to think that the world was black and white. There was a right way of doing something, and there was a wrong way of doing something. If one followed the correct path then they were invincible, as some force in the world protected them. It made the world an easy to navigate place in which, if I followed the path I would reap the benefits. After my injury occurred, I realized that everyone’s story is more complicated than that. There are bumps in the road that one cannot predict, and challenges along the road that people cannot even comprehend how to fix.
