As a sportsman, as the director of the team that has now won various national prizes in videos competitions and participating numerous other activities during my medical school, I have acquired the qualities required not only to lead a team to its full potential but also to work in synergy as a unit, to let everyone on my team realize their full potential. I have firm faith that all a man needs is diligence, persistence and self-belief that I CAN. "Believe you can and you are halfway there”. Never ever in my life I have doubted my potential of achieving my goals. The road, thus far has been a long one and I can only expect it to be uphill from here. My passion for making a difference in people’s lives has been the driving force that has got me this far through some of the toughest of times and I am sure that it will not fail me in the future. My family consists of mother, father, and brother who live in Germany. Growing up was as idyllic as one could suspect, in my prepubescent years we moved to the states in search of “gods’ plan” for us, starting a church in Texas. Running this project allowed me to work with many doctors and nurses side-by-side whom I had never noticed attended camp before. In addition, as I was working with the staff, I learned many things about hospital careers that I never knew before. The wisdom I gained from the employees of Dr. Bill Neches Heart Camp for Kids about nursing highly influenced my decision to study the field in…

What draws me to the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine’s Arizona Campus is its commitment to developing physicians dedicated to serving patients. The Science of Health Care Delivery curriculum draws attention to the political, social, and economic forces that affect health care. As aspiring medical practitioners, students aware of these factors can better understand the circumstances of patients they care for. While serving as the Financial Director of the Campus Y, a public advocacy and service organization under the YMCA, I was immersed in the day-to-day operations of a non-profit by working on budget management and community partnership development. Understanding the logistics of the organization further strengthened my passion to support the…

I wanted to heal and care for them. As time went by, what seemed like a simple childhood aspiration, evolved into a need and a true desire to care for others. Despite some difficulties in my early college years, I still have the same passion to fulfill my dreams.…

During my employment at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in Boston I was able to work with a graduate of MCPHS, Kaiming (Kyle) Chiang, MPAS, PA-C. His knowledge and comprehension of his role as well as his eagerness to always do more inspired me. Kyle’s professionalism and confidence led him to be a favorite among several patients; he was able to diagnose with confidence; and was able to communicate with the patients in a way that they would be able to understand. Kyle was always an advocate for MCPHS and as I continued to work with him I was able to see, not only his passion, but the knowledge he gleaned from his time at MCPHS. I knew that MCPHS was not only a school that prepared their students well for the workplace, but also teaches them in a manner where patient education and…
