My major is Health Promotions. My career aspiration is to become an Occupational Therapist. I chose this career because an Occupational Therapist has the pleasure of helping people learn or relearn how to connect with their environment while doing fun activities. Moral values and health issues play a vital role within Occupational Therapy (OT) because the job entails aiding and improving the health of a person. America is called the United States; hence they’re being so many different people with various belief systems. The idea of religion is guiding people with a faith that will ultimately make them make good decisions. The goal of politics is to better the lives of others. Being that America is invested into religion, politicians used the platform of religion to convince people that if they share the same belief systems, then they most likely have the same morals. For instance, Hilary Clinton during her recent presidential campaign trail stated she is Christian. It wasn’t until January 25, 2016 at a campaign event in Knoxville, Iowa she decided to get personal about her religion. A personal discussion about her faith was rare for the former Secretary of state. Typically religious Christians in Iowa tend to gravitate to the Republicans and the Democratic Party is are not favored. Mrs. Clinton had to figure out a technique that spoke to the heart of the Christians in Iowa. It was an attendee at the campaign event that asked her about her faith. For Hilary to categorize herself as a Christian pleased many of the attendees that thought she was afraid to discuss that topic. Physician-assisted suicide has many pros and cons. For the people opposing the assisted suicide have numerous reasons why. When becoming a Physicians take part of the Hippocratic Oath, which includes ‘I will give no deadly medicine to anyone if asked, nor suggest any such counsel”. From a religious stand-point Monotheistic beliefs believe life is given by God, birth and death are practices done by God, and taking life causes harm to everyone one responsible. Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism believe that bad luck is the result of a past negative offense. For as many people there are against euthanasia, there are numerous people for the assisted suicide. Death is inevitable, and if a person wants to die it is their right. Desiring death is a self-inflicting issue; therefore the state should not intervene on how a person should manage himself or herself. People endure some painful times and just want to give up due to the excruciating pain, for instance in the Assisted Suicide Documentary, a woman, Cindy Cowwen has late stage Ovarian cancer. Ms.Cowwen feels she should have the choice on how she ends her life. Being able to find a solution to end all the pain can lead people to death. Why should a person suffer when they can arrive to a state of no more pain
