The product that I have chosen was made first in 1989, in Japan but mostly to everybody in the 90’s. I was born in 1995 and was not till 2002 when I really knew what a Gameboy was. I was on my way to school one day in Elementary school. I didn’t know what it was and never really saw commercials of Gameboys on T.V. I noticed the kid was a grade higher then me and one day I noticed him playing with it after school and went over to go take a look at it. I had asked if I could see it and it was something that I never felt before. It was awesome and so cool to me that it was a portable game device and had an amazing game (Pokemon). This was the first system that you could play your games on the road instead of waiting to get home. I was into cards and Pokemon and was awesome to play the real game. …show more content…
The product at the time was around hundred dollars and was a bit pricey for my family. For Christmas I had gotten a purple gameboy advance and felt so cool to have one. I would walk around my school thinking I was the coolest kid with a top gadget. Just getting a first hand feel of it was what influenced me to get into video games but also getting a GameBoy. I remember it influenced me to get other products for the GameBoy like the link system. This system allowed others to play with each other sort of the wifi back then. It helped me realize I could build nothing out of something and also how one little act can spark a hobby of yours. I know maybe I would of gotten my hands on a Gameboy later but it wouldn't have been the same experience of forming my own squad and having those

The Nintendo Entertainment System wasn’t the original design or name of the console as it was released as the Famicom which stood for Family Computer in Japan prior with a different color scheme and structure. Nintendo was currently facing an issue when releasing their first home console in the U.S as it was releasing during the Video Game Crash in 1983 which transpire in North America primarily. The oversaturation of video games caused a negative connotation and confusion on which games followed a quality standard in the market, making the consumer feel insecure when purchasing software. Nintendo of America was set in a position where they had to advertise their console in a different form to avoid the negative stigma damaging their credibility. As a result, Nintendo had named it the Nintendo Entertainment System and designed it distinctly with a front loader to insert cartridges and a grey color scheme to resemble the appearance of a VCR as many families had one within their household.…

The engraved NINTENDO GAMECUBE on the back has given me motivation to name this a Nintendo Gamecube Controller, although the people of this era most likely gave it a much more unique name. With our knowledge of gaming in these times, this was a very social object, with people using it at large gatherings. As it was found with an old box with the title of Super Smash Bros. Melee, bearing similar markings, we can conclude that it was mostly used in tandem with this object, an ancient video game. Further views into the fit of the buttons of the controller while being held indicate that while it would be comfortable to use this while gaming, yet prolonged exposure to quick button presses may cause hand injuries to occur. The fittest people of the generation must have been using…

Back in September we got told about our I.B. project and were given some example ideas. None of them seemed appealing to me, and I thought about what to do, I had so many ideas of what to do and found the one that best suited me which was to create a video game and have people play it around the world. I knew video games from the back of my mind so to create my very own video game and have people play it would be outstanding. Although it did have a flaw, I had no experience in making video games. I had a general idea of what to do but not enough to get me far.…
