The most interesting area of psychology to me is forensic child psychology. I actually didn’t learn about it until the summer while binge watching a TV show and I heard the job title. I knew for about a year and a half that I wanted to major in psychology and work with children. I always wanted to talk to the troubled, impoverished children. This subfield of psychology caught my attention because it’s all related to the court cases or talking to children already in prison. I wanted to work with children because they are more honest, intelligent, and complex than adults at times. In this field some study topics are: the mental examinations to see if the child could be used as a witness in court; criminal profiling; communicating with children
