Money is essential for life but that is not I want to live my life. I want to wake up excited to go to work with a passion and purpose, utilize my creativity skill in working with hands, and help people in need. My pursuit of a medical degree is greatly strengthened by the Columbia University Public Health Scholars Program (SPHSP). Prior to matriculation from the program my source of motivation held no true direction, I wanted to simply “help people”. During SPHSP I was exposed to federally qualified health centers (FQHC) and my eyes were opened to new medium to help people.
