Personal Statement

The prospect of a career in dentistry began during my first year of studying A levels, where my enthusiasm towards science grew within my Chemistry and Biology lessons. From this point onwards, I knew that a career in the sciences was definite, due to my ability to solve problems and think logically which relates greatly to Dentistry where you are operating within the space of a small orange. A job working isolated in the lab, however, is not for me. Instead, being able to have interpersonal interactions daily, whilst at the same time improving the quality of somebody’s life is what I really want from my life’s work.

During my work experience, though, was where I became certain that a career in dentistry rather than medicine
