My case took many years as an immigrant seeking political asylum, and I was unable to apply for any financial assistance. i started working in a gas station because the flexible schedule gave me the opportunity to get a nursing assistant and dental assistant certification. I had to work two jobs in order to pay for school, bills, and savings. I began working during the day at a dental office and at night in a nursing home while also attending classes. Because I was putting everything else before my health, this had a significant impact on my grades. Around that time, I was falling behind in my studies and making progress much more slowly, and I was witnessing my former countrymate from that country opening their own dental practice. I made things harder for myself because I was in a healthy competition. I can't tell you in this essay if I was successful in this process, but I can tell you what I learned that has transformed my life. I am going to play until the end of the game with the cards I have, following my own process, because everyone has a different process and way of doing things. We have to play poker with the cards we
