Becoming a physical therapist will enable me to not only fulfill my personal career goals but more importantly fulfill my passion to help others overcome their physical fitness aliments. I have always had an impulse to serve people, particularly those suffering with pain and mobility issues after seeing first-hand how poor fitness can negatively affect others and cause depression. During high school, when I had the opportunity to take anatomy and physiology, I discovered my passion for learning about the human body. Further health education in college only reinforced my decision to work in a medical field. My older sister mentioned that I should look into physical therapy since she recognized my empathy for people who were physically handicapped.
