Another gratifying thing about Internal Medicine is the long-term interaction with my patients, especially taking care of them during their hospital stay and then the ambulatory follow-ups. Most importantly Internal Medicine provided me all the reasons that why I wanted to become a doctor. During the first ever Dengue fever epidemic in Lahore area in 2012, I was appointed as the registrar of ' 'Chief Minister Dengue control Cell ' '. It was an amazing experience to manage a new disease with unique symptoms and the treatment unknown.
