Personal Statement: A Career In Healthcare

Ideally my future career would encompass traveling internationally and assisting with healthcare administration and healthcare policy (particularly in developing countries). Coming from a family with a substantial occupational background in healthcare; it has always been a line of work that I’ve admired. As a healthcare administrator I would direct and manage healthcare programs and other health related operations; to ensure that they’re achieving set goals and positively impacting community members. Healthcare is a strong determinant for the quality of one’s life and I believe that everyone deserves the right to live a healthy, fulfilling life. Even though I would be content as a healthcare administrator in America; I may perhaps learn more about healthcare disparity, and be able to affect more people by going abroad. …show more content…
Ultimately knowing that I have made a long-lasting, meaningful impact on society would keep me motivated. In addition, I would like to have a semi-large family one day, so it would be amazing if I had the resources necessary to allow them to travel with me as well. With this in mind the ideal annual salary for me would be $250,000, this would allow my family and I to live comfortably while traveling. I would love to have a permanent home in the states and a few (2-4) vacation homes in other countries.
