Personal Statement: A Career In Criminology

I, your affiant, Luis Gonzalez, state that I am a criminology student at Fresno City College since August 12, 2013. Since my time of enrollment I have taken many courses regarding my criminology major. While attending Fresno City College some of the courses that I have taken are Criminology 1 Introduction to Criminology, Criminology 3 Legal Aspects of Evidences, Criminology 5 Community Relations, Criminology 6 Concepts of Criminal Law, Criminology 11 Juvenile Delinquency, Criminology 12 Criminal Justice Communications, and Criminology 13 Constitutional Interpretation: Its Logic and Fallacies. With these course that I have taken I have learn and gotten knowledge to the best of my abilities. In Criminology 12, I have been trained to write reports and really take into consideration the role of a police officer. I have watched many scenarios and took notes about those scenarios to make reports and determine the outcome of an investigation. I have gotten first hand training that will benefit me throughout my career. On November 2, 2015 I was given a case about a commercial burglary that took place on November 1, 2015. The suspect that was identified was Rex Swanson. Swanson was seen by security in the back loading dock of the building. Swanson was called into the police department for …show more content…
Swanson said he was given a tip that by a friend that there was amplifiers and speaker in the back room easy to get and go. Swanson said that he seen security so he turned around and got back into his car and left. Swanson did mention he was there to steal and there was brand name amplifiers such as Yamaha and Onkyos. Detective Grant, concluded the interview when he got Swanson to admit he had the intent to steal that was his motive to being at the back loading dock.
