I believe that as an academic advisor it is essential to stay current with academic advising trends, technology, and resources available to my students. In August of 2016 I earned my Master of Arts degree in higher Education Administration. Within my Master’s program, I focused much of my research on academic advising of special student populations including: distance students, LGBTA, Military and Veteran students, and adult learners. I have been an active member of both the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) and the Missouri Academic Advising Association (MACADA) since 2015, attending both regional and state conferences.
