I ended up figuring it out one step at a time and I fed the kids and the cat and changed them and put them to bed and played with them and I never lost my calmness when I was with them because I knew that those twenty four hours had nothing to do with me and how I felt but everything to do with them and I knew
I had to protect them and keep them relaxed and healthy and happy. I didn’t know when their mom would be home but I did know I had to make a plan. The biggest dilemma I have had at school was last year when I was doing horribly in

I want to be a Link Crew Leader because I would love to be able to mentor freshman as my previous Link Crew Leaders did to me. I also feel that becoming a Link Crew Leader would not only allow me to help shape freshman to become better people but to help me become a better person myself. I have been both a volunteer at a summer program for first and second graders and an assistant coach for the special needs program at Alta Loma Little League. At the summer program I was tasked with teaching 3 classes of first graders to type and code. This leadership position not only taught me how to actively communicate with people who learn in different ways, but also taught me to become a stronger leader.…

To all the doctors, teachers, peers, and family members who didn’t believe I would amount to greatness, thank you. When I was young, I didn’t understand why school seemed more challenging for me than it did for everyone else. I couldn’t discern why I was unable to distinguish my right from my left no matter how many times my teacher sighed and told me it was simple or why I could complete math problems perfectly then copy my answer wrong between the work area and the answer line.…

John Quincy Adams once said, "If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader". I believe I have demonstrated myself in those areas as a proven National Honors Society member in everything I am involved in. From being a youth mentor in my church, to leading in my extracurricular activities; my leadership was and still is heavily demonstrated in both my words and my actions. Being selected as a member would mean I will be devoted and pledged to all of the program and what it’s born to be and become. Also, bringing a vision and an attitude that I can change and influence those around me from the Inside and out.…

This didn’t last long because Algebra was a tough class that tested my abilities and my mind to their capacity.…
