A question most of us receive and ask throughout our lives many times. When I was younger my answer was always prefaced with a “maybe.” Maybe a Veterinarian, maybe a Psychologist, a Social Worker, a Physical Therapist, a Yoga teacher, a Massage Therapist. I have explored the possibility of many of these things and pursued a few, learning that I do not have the stomach to be a vet, or the tough exterior it takes to be a social worker. I also learned that there was a concrete answer to what I wanted to be all along but it wasn’t contained within a single profession or study, it was simply that I wanted to be someone who helped people, who improved their lives.
Exploring that desire to help people I entered a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training, and a more in-depth 300 hour training after that. While I found the experience enriching and was thrilled to combine my love of the body and physical movement with helping others, the anatomy training left me looking for more.
