Personal Statement: A Career As A Pediatric Surgeon

Some people specifically get jobs for the money. I could understand why, so they can provide food and shelter for their family. But I would do it for my family, myself, and the enjoyment. I want to live a life, where I can enjoy every moment of it, while helping little kids. I want to become a pediatric surgeon. In ten years, I see myself in college, studying and working hard. The kind of work I will be doing is doing surgery on kids. The career I will have is being a pediatric surgeon. Choosing this goal is important to me because I want to help kids and people. The satisfaction this career provides me is helping people. The relationship with school and my goal is that I need to get better grades and study harder.

A subject I really want to focus on is algebra, science, and health. I am going to measure my progress by getting feedback from teachers and checking my grades online at least once every two weeks. I am going to achieve my goal by studying as hard as I can. I will set my friends and my phone aside, and focus on my work. I am going to study every evening for at least an hour.
