The job I had in mind when I first began Job Corps, was being a General Office Clerk. Luckily, this job was one matched closely to my interests, ability and personality type. Although I’ve been seeking other jobs, I still chose to research this job. General office clerks have to do a lot of tasks like, having to answer the phones, typing papers, using and printing papers. General office clerks have to sort and deliver mail and send outgoing mail. They schedule appointments and help customers or visitors. They also have to provide general information to staff, clients, or the public, type, format, or edit their memos or other reports, copy, files. They update paper and file documents, prepare and process bills and other office documents. They gain information and perform data entry. You need a high school diploma or G.E.D. to apply for this job. Their training lasts up to 1 month. They start you off $12.33 in the state of Mississippi. …show more content…
I’ve always had an interest to work at the front desk of an office. Many people ask me would I want to work in an office. It’s because I have a passion for technology, typing, and using computers, and plus I’m a pretty boy I don’t like to get dirty or sweat I rather work in a cool office than lay bricks or build houses etc. Some people tell me I would be the perfect person to work in a office, because of my personality I’m very good with people; I know how to deal with rude customers and still have a smile on my face.
