It is the art of performing voice-overs of other character or people or providing voices to one character. There are five different type of Voice Actors. Announcers, heard from live television/radio, Narrator, heard from audio books and documentaries, Voice Actors are heard from animated movies/cartoons, Voice-Over Actors are heard from a GPS or a welcoming for visitors on a website, and Voice Talent, to reference all types of voice-over performers. The salary of Voice Acting is 20 to a couple hundred dollars for just one hour of work. Voice-over is 80% marketing and 20% doing the actual work. You need a good voice/social interactions from reading and speaking eloquently. It is best to start with a demo CD as a beginner and need to find your signature voice, no matter whether your old and have an accent or not. You also have to have a few skills like Acting, exhibiting acting skills, Technology, you are comfortable with devices or computers, and Business, running your own business. What is meant by business is responsibility and a loud voice. Speech classes will be really helpful to me to reach this level. Proper training equipment ,like microphones and a recorder, and some natural talent will be needed to begin your career as a Voice Actor. To get equipment, I could use the money from my other job as a Sketch Artist to help me begin. As a beginner, the best thing to do, on my opinion, is to listen to the voices from cartoons or other shows to practice on working your vocal chords.
