Personal Statement: A Career As A Coach

Imagine standing up in front of 50000 people coaching the #1 team in the SEC. When I was growing up I imagined being a college coach. I choose this career because I had a lot of people help me when I was growing up, so now it’s my turn to help others, when they become young adults. Everyday as a child I always heard that you have to give back, so that’s what i am doing while I coach. Coaching have many responsibilities. When becoming a coach you just don’t deal with their players, they have to do. I will be the coach that will be able to master everything that it takes. Coaches teach amateur or professional athletes the skills they need to succeed at their sport. Coaches have to manage the administrative duties of the job, recruit top players, get them in shape, create a team, motivate players and teach them more about the game. First, i’m going to college and play basketball. I will get my bachelors degree. When I graduate from college i’m going to go to a top high school and coach their basketball team. I’m going to take them to the state championship 2 years in a row.Then, i’m gone get a college coaching offer to coach at a D1 team. My achievement are going to be bigger than anybodys. The requirements to become a college coach are not easy. First, I have to go to college and get my bachelors degree. Then I have to go out in the world and get coaching experience. That’s is a hard task because you have to find a team that fits you. Then, you have to move up and work as an assistant. The would be for Coach K. Next, I have to obtain my certification for coaching. That mean no getting into any trouble. Lastly, I have to go advance in the field. That mean when Coach K leave i will have to take his spot.
