We have to follow gun safety regulations on the firing range with the ability to stage targets from 10 feet to 75 feet on the pistol range. All this is controlled by the electric pulley system that we attach our targets to. No one ever steps on the range. All pistols must always be pointed down range and we have to work with the range master of duty for our questions and training. My first “Aha!”moment came from the shock of getting used to the sound of the cartridge going off followed by the kick of the pistol. At first, my shots strayed, I had difficulty grouping my shots in a three inch circle. My second “Aha!” moment came when I realized I had to adjust slightly in my positioning of how I targeted. I had to make sure my iron sights ran parallel at the same level as the bordering frame of the sight. My third revelation came when I moved the target to its furthest position of seventy feet and I had difficulty grouping my shots.
