In retrospect, I see the 4 P’s in the process of change. The purpose of making friends was to help me feel happy and better. I got rid of the loneliness by talking and playing with my new friends. In my mind, I depicted a picture of me, the little girl should be sunny and friendly. Such a picture is what I want to be and that could encourage me to have a new beginning. I did not have any delicate plan at that time since I was just a little girl, but I tried to talk to other kids and play with them. In addition, I helped them with their homework problems and I made a lot of friends during the process. Although I became a friendly girl and had a new beginning in my new school, the teachers and other students also contributed a lot during the process. The teachers and other students knew that I am a new student in the class, they were generous to offer help for me and be friends with me. They played an important part to help me get used of my new life in the new

My [Un]changing Writing Process There is a game called darts that is based on a point system: the closer you get to the center, bulls eye, the higher the score, with the highest score winning the game. During my nine years of elementary and middle school, I attended a small charter school with less than one hundred fifty students total K-8. I had most of the same classmates year after year, and the same outdoor school campus and teachers. With the exception of a few students who came and went, most of us were together through eighth grade. In those nine years, I made friends with these classmates and had a small school experience. We spent time playing in the creeks and using the many outdoor classrooms.…

As a student for the past 13 years we have been taught three main subjects; Math, writing, and reading. We start to learn how to read once we started saying our first words and exploring the world with our small stature, but a tall imagination. School came along and made our lives more broad towards what is expected of us and the amount of the work that will come in the following years. As time moves forward, we grow in stature physically, and mentally. I noticed this once I entered high school and began to be assigned papers that were 4 pages based on House on Mango Street.…

Throughout my life I have experienced many perspectives. These perspectives have not only influenced my understanding of the world around me, but they way I interpret knowledge from others. For me the most influential perspectives are my ability level, my gender identity, and class. These elements of my subject position inflected my understanding of “We are All Works in Progress” by Leslie Feinberg and “ How to Date a Brown Girl (Black Girl, White Girl, or Halfie)” by Junot Díaz because I am able to relate the experiences of both authors to myself in varying, unconventional ways. I do not see myself as disabled.…

In the past few years alone, I’ve overcome quite a bit in my opinion. Some of the things that I have overcome could be seen as small by others while some may see them as huge; for example, I had a fear of public speaking so I took a speech class. I signed up on the last day possible for the class because I knew that if I had given myself time to think about what I had done, I would have changed the class to something that I would have been more comfortable with. I admit, that isn’t much; the class was required in order for me to get my Associate’s Degree through the Sumner County Middle College High School Program in May 2017 so the sooner I took it the better, but I didn’t actually have to take it.…

English 2010 has been a learning experience for me, I've been able to learn a lot about english that I did not know or work on before. With the first essay that we worked on I did a memoir I really enjoyed working on this paper, In class we were able to get freedom to add pictures to are pictures make it a little bit more creative I certainly was not used to this; I’ve been told my whole schooling experience that you have the intro and the conclusion and three body paragraphs. The memoir I was able to write to what I felt like I needed it to be, add pictures so it could appeal more to the eye when reading and also made it easier.…
