After I read the first five chapters of Bridge’s book, I recall a change that I experienced, my parents ask me to leave the current primary school that I was studying at and transfer me into another school when I was at grade three. The reason for the transfer is that my parents think the school that I was transferred in had a better environment and quality than the previous one.
This change brought me a great transition, this was the first time that I felt lonely in my life. I lived in the dormitry in my new school and no longer lived in my home as when I was in my old school, I felt too lonely to sleep in the dormitry without the accompany of my prarent and to study in the classroom without the friends that I was familiar with. At that time, I felt that I lose not only my comfortable environment but my couragment to still study in the primary school.

In retrospect, I see the 4 P’s in the process of change. The purpose of making friends was to help me feel happy and better. I got rid of the loneliness by talking and playing with my new friends. In my mind, I depicted a picture of me, the little girl should be sunny and friendly. Such a picture is what I want to be and that could encourage me to have a new beginning. I did not have any delicate plan at that time since I was just a little girl, but I tried to talk to other kids and play with them. In addition, I helped them with their homework problems and I made a lot of friends during the process. Although I became a friendly girl and had a new beginning in my new school, the teachers and other students also contributed a lot during the process.
