Everyone May think they are perfect at everything they do, but not everyone will be successful in life. I always think that I am perfect at what I am doing. When I was a sophomore 2 years ago, they were soccer try outs late February. I was so hyped up for try outs, I told all my friends that I was going to make it and be a starter for varsity. It was a month away for try outs and I never knew how to play soccer, I just knew the basics to the sport, like pass, dribble, and kick, but I wasn’t that very accurate at it. So I would ask my older cousins if they can teach me how to play soccer but there was one problem, they all had to work so they didn’t have any time on teaching me how to play soccer. So I would go home after school, go on YouTube …show more content…
So I tried to handle the drills by myself, I still kept the positive mind on everything though. In my first week of practice I had to get my body in good condition, such as: trying to prefect my passing abilities, and how to control the movement of the ball. By the end of the week my legs felt like jelly, I was giving it my all, as well as my movement with the ball, I wasn’t very accurate at it but I thought it was decent. Week 2 was pretty difficult, I had a lot of work to do like to prefect my shot. I Had to Work on my penalties, Free kicks and how to shoot the ball on target/Distance. I had a very hard time trying to get the right shot going for me, but still I kept trying and trying to be the best out of myself in those 2 weeks of practice. I felt like I actually had the hang of playing soccer. Soccer Tryout came and I was prepared to what was coming to me, I’m not going to lie I was very nervous. I seen a lot of kids better than me that kind of took my method away of being myself. My shot was off target, my passing and dribbling were horribly going wrong. By the end of the day I wanted to go home because I knew in my head that I didn’t make the team. I don’t think those 2 weeks weren’t enough time to actually make the team but with that being said, Not everybody is perfect, for example I felt positive about actually making the soccer team, honestly thought I was going to make it, but sadly things won’t turn out the way you want them
