In this paper, I will go over my strengths, weaknesses; previous feedback; areas of improvement; steps and skills needed for improvement to occur; past writing and what was my favorite. As well as how writing in the past is different from the writing I am doing now for my program. Lastly, I will discuss the strategies I will take to be successful.
My strengths in writing is that I always have so much to say. I can visualize and hear in my head what I want to say; my issue is that I cannot get it right on paper. You remember the game telephone? We all sit in a circle and pass around a simply phrase, but by the time it gets to the end of the 30 students before you it is nothing like the original. That is how my writing is. I know what I must

I can also make sure that my assignments are done ahead of time so I that I do not feel rushed. This will also give me a chance for re-writes. There are some boosters offered by Grand Canyon University for grammar that I will be taking advantage of. I also recently found a web app to submit my writing for detailed checks. I have found that it is great for what Microsoft misses.
In the past as well as currently I rather enjoy writing short stories. I use it more as a therapy. Supernatural as well as paranormal romance are my top two genres. I even write book reviews for a select group of new writers. These writing are different because in paranormal anything goes.
The writings I have done in the past differ from what I am doing today in class in a few important ways. My past writings are less formal and more fun; whereas academic writing is just that academic. Punctuation, grammar, syntax must always be spot on. My past writings are fun, romantic, descriptive. I am really the only one who reads my personal writings so in my mind whatever comes out comes out.
The strategies I will be applying to be successful are: Continue education about grammar and formatting; take boosters offered at school; and ask for helped when I need

Introduction Definitions of intelligence vary among scholars, theorists, and laypersons, due to its multidimensionality. However, intelligence typically involves an individual’s ability to learn from experience and adapt to the environment in which they live. I believe that the construct of intelligence should encompass an individual’s ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form, to think logically, and to express creativity. Two intelligence tests in which I recently had the opportunity to take and score included the Shipley Institute of Living Scale-2 and the Wonderlic Personnel Test.…

As I grew older, I started to dislike reading because it just seemed boring to me to read the books or novels we had to read in school. Although, I did enjoy to read my own personal books that I checked out from the library, reading was just something I didn’t have much interest for as I did for writing. I greatly enjoyed writing. Most of the writing I have done, whether it be academic or informal, has always had a touch of a personal experience and emotion. I have loved the feeling of calculating thoughts and getting them down on paper.…

Completing assessment one has helped me to develop more knowledge and skills such as formal writing style, language use, systemic rules and grammatical structure. As per Grellier and Goerke (2014) proofreading and editing helps writers to clearly understand the perception of the essay. Weekly readings, collaborations and blackboard activities have all helped me to improve my proofreading skills to identify grammatical and spelling errors in my essay. Additionally, using various grammar programs before submitting my essay will help to reduce grammar and spelling errors. Therefore, my writing structure, spelling and grammar use will continue to develop and improve.…

As a child I had a very vivid imagination. I enjoyed making up stories, and writing about them, in fact coming up with creative ideas was always especially easy for for me. In my school years, I grew up wanting to be a jounalist, however grammar and English courses were not any friend of mine, I struugled greatly with English and grammar. Teachers have always told me what wonder story ideas and story telling ability I had, however, when I got my assignment back, my grade was barely passing, because of my grammar and English errors. Currently, I have taking my writting much more seriously, since I am enrolled in an online school that weighs heavily on proper writing structure.…

Let’s just start off and say that I love to write. Writing helps me express my feelings so people can get to know me better. I do not like talking in front of the class, so instead I like to write because I’m a very shy person. Writing is a huge thing in my everyday life for an example when I do homework, I make a list and it’s just the little things like that, that help me become a better writer. I don’t hate reading, but I like writing a lot better than reading because writing I can write memories and things that happened to me on that day.…

In writing it is known to acquire both strengths and challenges especially when remaining on topic and not drifting away onto another topic. I have discovered that over some time now with being a full-time assistant teacher for an eigth grade math class that it is too tough with writing. In math we begin to implement a writing strategy (R.I.C.E.) for responding to short answer questioning. The strengths that I have as a writer is thinking beyond the topic and comparing it onside of reality. I consider myself a somewhat strong and creative writer when it involves a topic that grasps my attention and I can easily relate to.…

Narrative Self-Reflection Throughout GSW 1120 we practiced writing to different audiences compared to GSW 1020 and I could really feel the sense of the shift. The research essay was definitely the turning point where I noticed the biggest change, and I think this was because it’s an argumentative essay and that is where I feel like I excel the most. Final Word I have made significant progress from where my writing skills started at the beginning of Freshman year. Still there are aspects of my writing that I still need to work on. The skills I need to work on are grammar, spelling, and finding quotations to support my claims. Describe Yourself As A Writer I’ve come to realize that after years of writing papers, I’m actually a better writer than I give myself credit for. I’ve noticed over time that I’ve advanced in how I structure my paragraphs, however, not so much with my sentences. It’s like making a cake look delicious at first glance with frosting and decorations, but then you take a bite and there 's way too much sugar or it 's overcooked in the inside. My strength in writing includes: using better words to describe what I’m writing about, spelling complex words, creativity, and passion.…

Working with a team for an online class has its challenges. For one, people are in different time zones so meeting for online discussions does not always work for all members of the team. When this happens, emails are a vital tool for communication for four students wanting to make the best product they can. As I look through Tuckman’s model I can see how this developed within our team but since most of the communication happened by email it took away some quality team development associated with the model. I think we did an excellent job always keeping in contact with each other when we could not meet for a discussion.…

My approach to reading has changed over the semester. Before this class, I would just read without taking notes. In reading, I would just read instead of looking up the difficult word or using context clues to figure out what the word means. Now during my reading I annotate and look up unknown vocabulary words. When I look up the difficult word, I would find the closest appropriate definition.…

The artifact I created was a lesson plan that served to meet standard 7 InTasc requirements. The first version of this lesson plan was created on October 18, 2017 and the second, and final, version of the lesson plan was created on October 30, 2017. My peers, my professor, and I were involved in the creation of this artifact. We produced a group lesson plan in class and through discussion with my peers they helped me to understand particular elements and concepts within the lesson plan. Also my professor provided elaborate feedback on our group lesson plan as well as our first version of our individual lesson plans that helped further define the expectations and requirements of the lesson plan.…
