Throughout my years of elementary and middle school, I was very involved in school sports and band. During the past few years, my physical activity schedule has been a roller coaster. I know I should try to make the most out of things that are at my reach like volleyball games with my sisters or walking my dogs out more but sometimes it just gets mundane. Hopefully, in the near future, I can make more time for fun physical activities like going to hike or camping and find a good balance between work and leisure. Since school takes up most of my time I really need to work around it and have a balance of my

While growing up, sports have always been a big part of my life. At the age of only six years old, my parents first signed me up for coach pitch softball. Little did they know that I was going to fall in love with the game and that they were going to have to spend countless hours at softball fields during the spring each year watching me play. Being so young when I first started playing, winning and losing did not matter at all. As long as I got to throw, hit, and catch the ball, I was happy.…

In your lifetime, you may have been faced with many difficult challenges. I have been put in the middle of other people's problems, as well where I am forced to choose what side to be on. Many people I know are very open with their problems and do not mind talking about them, but with me, I keep to myself. In the story written by Joseph Campbell (a scholar for Greek mythology who created the hero's journey), the characters of the story are put to many tests. Each character is being put to a different test to help them get through a journey or mission.…

There is a saying that I heard long ago that has impacted my life in more ways than one. “Everyone has a sad story”, but the difference between myself and others is that I did not let it crush me, I let it inspire me. A few years ago when I wasn’t sure what sport to pursue, my father introduced me to CrossFit. CrossFit is a form of physical training that uses intense cardiovascular movements blended with Olympic weightlifting maneuvers for a total body work out.…
