I believe that the actions and initiative my coach has demonstrated best exhibit the practice of “Modeling the Way,” “Inspiring a Shared Vision” and “Challenging the Process” (Kouzes, & Posner, 2014). The entire team was able to set an example for others involved with the project and for me, by questioning values such as resource allocation. Furthermore, their passion to help elders living with dementia has inspired an increase passion within me to help those who cannot help themselves. The way my coach had inspired a shared vision was towards the way she had envision the future of the project and tried to create a shared motivation to try and achieve their goal. Similarly, by working on a program through a different approach and by experimenting with their implementation of this program, the team is demonstrating the practice of “Challenging the Process”. For my own personal growth, I have decided to review literature regarding resource distribution within the health care system.
