Social Responsibility
My social responsibility as an educator is to first believe that all students can learn. Regardless of their background, culture, and socioeconomic. To create a learning relationship with my students were they will get complete understanding. I have to be a mentor, role model and a team player. Giving them a warm safe positive environment were learning can take place.
Having compassionate and to learn how to motivate them.
Believing in my student and them in me. Gaining their trust and respect, will open doors to their mind making learning easy fun. Every student is different and have different learning styles. You first have to believe in yourself. You have to be ready at all times. Being excellent in all your do. Ready to serve at any given time. Giving a hundred and twenty percent of yourself. Impacting others and being supportive of others.
When it came to working on research papers at first it was overwhelming and became challenging at times. Many days were days that was filled with frustration and confusion, but I persevere. I decided and made the decision that if I want to pass this class I had to put in the work. It wasn’t easy. Hours where long, put in at least five hours a day after I came home from work. As educators we are held accountable in all we do. Knowing right from wrong. Taking the stand whatever comes our way, we are going to do good by it. Whether right or wrong we will always do the right thing. Not jeopardizing mine or our student’s future.
Taking and oath to teach all that we know. Being honest and trustworthy of the call that’s on our lives. Abiding by the rules and regulations of the profession. Knowing what I can do and can’t do. Being sincere, reliable, dependable, responsible, and having a positive attitude. Showing and being Christ like in all we do. In class, outside of class, at home, and at play. Being the same person every single day. Not ugly, stepping out of character, but having good judgement and tact in all I do. Handling oneself with dignity, honor, and class.
