After my session, I felt good. I did not feel as self-critical as I did in the first micro session. I was pleased that I felt there was still a good connection and that I had been able to use some more skills without detracting from the relationship. I was pleased that I managed to handle the room change without blanking on everything else. After receiving feedback and having a chance to review my session, I see new areas of growth that spawned from the old areas of growth. I’m happy to know that I did manage to grow from the first session. I didn’t dwell on my session like I did the first time. Instead of watching others and comparing myself to theirs, I watched for opportunities where I could apply or skill or how they applied their skills and how I could incorporate that into my evolving skillset. I feel much more confident after this session. If I had a third session with Anahi or a first session with a new client I wouldn’t have many reservations about using and improving my skills because this entire experience allowed me to push myself and confront myself.
