Reflection On Independent Study

In general, I am very satisfied with our project and the progress of learning as well. In my heart, each of us makes a lot of contributes to this whole project of Independent Study. First of all, I finish the brainstorm alone after the first week because we did not find the creative topic in the first class. I put forward some questions of time management to my partner after doing some research about the phenomenon that people relied on the phones and hard to manage their time. after we identified this topic, I found one of the most effective time management methods, Pomodoro Technique as the scientific basis of our app. Besides, I come up with three aspects that should be involved in our app, including screen time tracker, tomato timer, and audiobooks, which can help people who want to …show more content…
The first point is that makes empathy with our audiences, there are two presentations during this whole project, and we take advantage of this skill to explain our project through the way based on our own experience in each presentation, accordingly, we attract the attention of the audience and lead them to consider their habits of using mobile phones and how difficult manage time well without our app. Secondly, critical thinking skill also is developed by this project since we have to deduce consequences from our project and try to making use of information to solve problems and seeking relevant sources of information to make improvements. Last but not least, during this teamwork, sometimes we argue some points since we have different opinions, and we have to find an efficient way to persuade the partner. So argument skill can help us to present it more clearly and move on to next part. In the future, I will continue to develop these skills since argument skills and critical thinking skills are also helpful for my graduate
