I had lots of fun playing around with my camera and that really helped me get more experienced and creative. It took aa while for me to finally get good photos that I actually liked and wanted to be put on display. I took a lot of experimental pictures but they were never really related to my project so I couldn’t use them in my final outcome. Most of friends were willing to help me out for my photos so at first, I decided to take some photos of them - this was in the beginning of my project - and that helped me play around with the different functions of the camera.

I feel more calmer taking photos now, and I believe that learning about the camera has helped me become a bit more patient and skilled. Through the last couple of months, I would say that I had a large amount of photos taken considering that I don’t usually work quite fast over a period of time. It was easy for me since I usually woke up early so I was up in time to see the sunrise and I usually go out in the evening around town and I carry my camera with me everywhere so it was quite easy for me to capture something so beautiful that it was almost calming to the

One of the course objectives I used to use for Music Cultures World was “Students will be able to identify and discuss the differences and similarities among musical performances from a variety of cultural contexts.” After taking the ACUE 1A module, I decided to revise the course outcome as follows: 1) Students will be able to illustrate the connection between music and dance in African music by producing a 5-minute flash mob. 2) Students will be able to demonstrate the application of a number notation system by creating a 5-minute gamelan performance.…

I admit, it has not been easy at all! There is a lot of work involved, and I have had to put some fun activities aside so I can focus. However, Jim Watkins said, “A river cuts through rock, not because of its power, but because of its persistence.” I am very persistent to do better than before, because I know I can. As long as I am focused and willing to try, I believe I will accomplish my goal and prove to myself that I really can learn…

Although the Declaration of Independence states, “all men are created equal,” it is not so that all men are treated equal. On May 11, 2015, five months ago, Time published on the front cover an Instagram photo captured by Devin Allen--the message intended was explicit. Indeed, the cover photo evokes a confrontational awareness to the most racial hot topic in today’s news feed. Time uses historic black and white contrast, scurry movements, and the no symbol as a call to action to those who advocate for racial equality and those who desire “justice for all”. – Do I quote the allegiance?…

For this multimodal project, I want to address the issue revolving immigration especially with the latest Presidential elections, and the new immigration policies Donald Trump has been implementing since he took office. The fact is that many individuals truly believe that immigration has been a negative impact on the United States and by placing stricter and harder bans on immigrants it might allow the United States to rise socially, economically, and politically. These misconceptions have led to discrimination, prejudice and racism to the minority groups throughout the United States. These policies are threatening not only to my peers at Florida State University, but to myself as well considering I am an immigrant. The stance I will be taken is in favor of immigration.…

As the senior project comes to an end, I am truly excited about the benefit my influence has had on the community. My senior project was just another step to the legacy that I have implemented in Warren County. Thinking back to freshman year, senior project seemed so boring and far away. I never would have imagined the progress and success I've had with my senior project. My interest has stayed the same but I wouldn't think that I would have County Commissioners and a House of Representative present at my event.…

I took two classes for the summer of 2016, but the Interpersonal Communication class had me worried the most. I had a training with the army, and that required me to absence from school for two weeks. Unlike my other class, I didn’t have a chance to work ahead of the class with the instructor for the two weeks that I would be missing. Therefore, I was worried that I wouldn’t catch up with my classmates and end up failing the class. However, Ms. Anna was generous and extended the assignment due date for me; she even gave me an extra-credit assignment to replace the credits that I missed during my two weeks in training.…
