In our discussion, Joel Morgan impressed as an intelligent, focused, disciplined and strategic thinker. His style appears hard-headed, but personable at the same time. In a sense he could be described as a ‘realist’’.
Mr Morgan appears to be a person who, with some additional maturity, could move a further one or two levels higher in management responsibility.
Career Overview
Mr Morgan completed his secondary education in Melbourne and then an entrance qualification before going on to Swinburne University and completing a Bachelor Degree in Business.

By his account he is both happy and success in the Total Tools environment. He sees it as being a highly successful business which he is contributing to as well as benefiting from.
At the same time, the opportunity to consider a role which would see him move to ‘the other side of the desk’ but still leverage all the major account marketing/merchandising expertise which he has built up in recent years, is interesting/intriguing to him. It is a career option he would like to have the opportunity of considering.
Remuneration
Mr Morgan states that at Total Tools, he is currently employed on a base salary of $120,000 per annum, plus company paid superannuation. There is no provision for a car.
He is a member of an incentive program, which is paid annually and has a maximum payout of around $20,000. Realistically he can expect between $10,000 and $12,000 from this scheme.
