One may understand the cosmos, but never the ego; the self is more distant than any star. I have never, in all my life, not for one moment, been tempted toward religion of any kind. The fact is that I feel no spiritual void. I have my philosophy of life.

So what is the meaning of life? What is the purpose of Life? I don’t think any single answer can be ubiquitously shared and be applicable for everyone. So I’ll answer for myself, from my current state of understanding.
I think the meaning of life is the meaning we give it—and we can literally give it any meaning that “feels right” to us. There’s a blank canvas in front of you. You are the artist of your life, and you are free to paint any picture that pleases you—and change it at any time for that matter. Running away from any problem only increases the distance from the solution. The Easiest way to escape from a problem is to solve it.
What “feels right” to you? What do you want your life to mean? What do you want your life to be about? Life is happiness. We all are trying to find a place where we are happy, be it by earning money or fame or getting married. Even a person who commits suicide is trying to be happy, thinking that it will end his misery.
