Whether I am observing class or reading Teaching Credential guideline books, one of the most emphasized areas of teaching is the classroom management. And classroom management worthily deserves such emphasis, because discipline codes confine proper educational environment. As I will be teaching high school students, my policies are established according to the general safety and maximum capacity of independent learning. I prioritize creating a place where students feel invited to learn and share what they’ve learned, simultaneously promoting honor towards one another in the class. I aim to not only teach marketing-related knowledge content, but also remind students the boundaries of theory application, helping them to build up a skill to identify and adopt the right theory at the right time. To attain this goal, my teaching philosophy emphasizes three principles, which I have applied across all three courses I have taught at UIC (i.e., introduction of marketing, marketing research, and consumer behavior). 1. Knowing the Context –I would like to teach marketing knowledge to students by clarifying that each learned theory and concept is a tool to tackle a respective problem, and by highlighting that knowing how and when to adopt each theory (instructions to use each tool) is as important as the accumulation of knowledge…

I think I have learned so much from this experience about the needs of students when they are in second grade. I saw how the students were given more independent time during this grade level then lower levels. I also noticed that they are still young enough that they need to be redirected and helped through projects. I believe by watching Mrs. Belles conduct her class in this way made me realize that I really like second grade. I think the one thing that stuck with me the most is how Mrs.Belles meets all of her students needs.…
