The star of LocoCycle is I.R.I.S, a sentient motorcycle that looks like it is from the Knight Rider era of television shows. IRIS is supposed to serve as a tool for an unscrupulous defense contractor, but after being struck by lightning she decides to attend a freedom rally in Scottsburg, Indiana instead. Pablo, her unfortunate mechanic, gets his pants caught in her chassis so he is unwillingly dragged along for the ride. LocoCycle is clearly inspired by cheesy B movies so don't expect the plot to make too much sense. Trying to figure out how a human being can survive being used as a melee weapon by a motorcycle with martial arts abilities will just lead to a headache.…

Hunting Obstacle By: Mikel Vance A very hard obstacle I used to have problems overcoming was hunting. Some reasons hunting was an obstacle for me to overcome was it was hard to shoot the gun, hard to figure out where exactly to hit the animal, and staying extremely quiet when stalking an animal. Part of the reason I saw hunting as a obstacle was because I had troubles learning to shoot the gun. And although simple and not very original I really love this definition because as you change you’re becoming different and you're becoming unique you’re becoming who you are. Change is what kicks us in the ass and makes us try something new. The four defining changes in my life were moving to New York, traveling to costa rica, switching high schools and now coming to SMU.…

When I was a naïve little girl in middle school, I always had a problem speaking up for myself whether it was to stand up against a bully, answer the teacher when called upon, or voicing my opinions to my close friends. I’ve always had a problem with voicing my opinions and speaking loudly because I was fearful to be judged or to feel useless when I spoke them. I was an awkward adolescent, 14 year old girl who had many insecurities and always muttered under her breath when called on in class. I was shy when it came to just being myself in front of my other peers. My shyness and insecurities didn’t really help with the fact that I had to do presentations in front of the class and had to socialize when we were paired up with partners to work together.…

I’ve always been the super shy girl; I was the one that was so scared of what people thought about her to the point where she’d hold back her dreams because she was too afraid. Freshman year changed the rest of my life for me. It wasn’t only the eye-opening year where I realized I’m more than my awkwardness; it was the year I did something about it. It was the year that I took the initiative to come crawling out from this outer shell that protected me from the harsh words that this earth has to offer, and I can’t say for a second that I regret it. Through a friend, I found this not-very-well-known business called Evolution Rock School.…
