This last semester I took 8 am classes Monday through Thursday. Before the start of the fall semester I thought that I could handle waking up in the morning, but I now know that I can’t get up in the morning. This has to do with the fact that I have always stayed up late, even in high school, but with the college pressure and all the homework I had to do, I was up later than I normally was. There are a few things that I can do to assure that I can get up in the morning with the motivation to go to class. First and foremost, I made sure to not schedule any classes to early in the morning so that I can wake up in the morning. Second is to set 2 alarms, one on my phone and one on my actual alarm clock, to assure that I am able to wake up. See a counselor - This past semester I was dealing with a great amount of anxiety and a fair amount of depression. In high school I had some anxiety over tests and maybe over other things such as projects. I thought that that was normal, test anxiety, and it was for the most part, but when I came to college it seemed to get worse as the weeks went on. At some points it would get so bad that I would start to get severely sick and not make it to class, and that was biggest part of me missing classes. I stated earlier in the paper, I have met with a doctor for my adhd, but we also talked about my anxiety and depression and he gave me medication for my anxiety if it got bad enough, but we both agreed that it would be in my best interest to see someone to help me though these problems. And for that reason is I plan to see a counselor on a regular schedule.
9. Get a Tutor / Go to the Math Assistance Center and Writing Assistance Center - This semester I want to get as much help as I can to assure I get the best grades I can get. And to do that I am going to everything in my power to do so, such as get a tutor, or go to any of the assistance centers on campus, this one is pretty easy to do,
